Lens flare effects are pretty common in photo editing apps but having vector copies of them can be helpful too because vectors offer infinite scaling and they’re easier to work with in apps like Inkscape, Illustrator and Affinity Designer.
There are 3 lens flares included in the download, all of which were made in Inkscape, although they do work fine in other vector apps. I’ve also included PNG copies for each…
I’ve always liked how they look on Esports logos and various types of colorful emblems. Here’s how they look once applied to an Esports logo I made for an old tutorial:
For these mockups I just placed the lens flare on top of the logo and set the blend mode to either color dodge or soft light, depending on your image.
If you’re an Inkscape user you can open and inspect them to see how they were created. You can make your own edits too if you’d like!
